It's Sunday (night) already??

Oh how I love and hate Sunday all the same - love it because it's usually the day I can relax the most; hate it because it means back to business tomorrow - it goes so quick!

Tonight we had our fab crockpot chicken cacciatore meal that I've blogged about before, so what do I blog about now??  Another celeb survey?  About our house hunting adventures?  About how I'm watching Titanic AGAIN because it's on TNT all the time??  About how we watched Gangs of New York last night and it was very strange??  None of those sound blog-worthy tonight.  Tonight I'm going to blog about a couple of things - Easter goodies/food and 5 staples, we, and you, keep in your cabinets/pantry at all times:)

Easter goodies - I cannot wait!  I look forward most to peanut butter bunnies, black jelly beans, and hard cadbury mini eggs - hate peeps and the gooey eggs!  We are going to my parents' this year, and I'm thinking I'll make a buffalo chicken dip and maybe some Easter-ish cupcakes - I see all these posts about dying coconut green to make it look like that grass and want to do that so bad!  The only thing is my dad wants to get cannoli's, and a lot of them, from a great cannoli place, so we may have too much dessert - what am I saying, there can never be too much dessert!!! We'll play cribbage and/or catch the 5 and have a jolly ole time!

So what do the husband and I keep in the pantry at all times?  Probably all stuff that I could make myself!

  1. Pasta
  2. some sort of rice
  3. chicken broth
  4. peanut butter
  5. flour/sugar - the normal baking supplies
What are you looking forward to during the Easter celebration, or anything else you may celebrate?  What about your pantry?  What is ALWAYS in it??

We are looking forward to you & Ron coming over. Yum, buffalo chicken dip sounds good. Paul reminded me of an Easter Basket cake I made years ago. I had to dye the coconut green for the grass in the basket. So I say go for it! Like you said, never can have too many desserts. And you cannolis of choice?

Ha we were watching the same TV last night - and before Titanic they showed An Officer and a Gentleman. I guess there are some you can just watch over and over again.

I agree with your staples list, but would take off peanut butter and add a can of diced tomatoes. You can do so much with them!

I am on cupcake duty as well :)

Our staples are pretty much the same! Don't forget CRP!

oh yes, if we didn't have CRP, or ketchup, there would be trouble!
